1. Look for positive role models – It’s important to find people who inspire you to make a difference. This could be people in the media, famous activists, or friends and family.
2. Challenge gendered language – Fed up of hearing “That’s not for girls” or being told to “Man up!”? These are just two examples of gender stereotypes that can have an impact on how we see ourselves and what we are capable of. If you hear people using this kind of language, don’t be afraid to challenge them!
3. Become an activist – find your voice and use it! There are lots of ways to make your voice heard. Start conversations, contact your msp/mp, join STAMP!
4. Be intersectional- consider how your experiences are shaped by race, class, age, gender, sexuality, & disability
